Situated on the select country estate of La Almunia, Los Nietos is a wonderful and peaceful retreat set in a beautiful garden full of colourful shrubs, a myriad of trees, some fruit bearing and a pretty front terrace covered with passion-fruit creepers. Accessed via a good track with wonderful views down the valley to Gibraltar, it is a haven for walkers, bird watchers or for simply lazing beside the splendid ‘L’ shaped swimming pool.

The property is surrounded by hedges and is completely private. One enters through a gated drive onto a cobbled pathway to the front door. A spacious hallway with lots of Moroccan rugs and antique furniture leads onto a twin bedroom with a large en suite bathroom with lavatory, basin and built-in wardrobes. Stairs lead up to a double bedroom and further twin bedroom, which share a bathroom with bath, lavatory, basin and separate shower.

The large master bedroom is up a second stairway and has a double bed and ceiling fan with doors out to a balcony overlooking splendid countryside. A dressing room and large en suite bathroom with sunken bath, large walk-in shower, double basin and lavatory completes the master suite.

From the hall, the open-plan diner has a good sized oak table and chairs, and leads through to the kitchen which is equipped with double sink, cooker, dishwasher, microwave and Aga, a good kitchen for the serious cook.

From here a wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine level with hand-painted piano and futon sofa. A door leads out to a separate laundry area with washing machine and dryer.

The living room is off the kitchen and is furnished with two sofas and two armchairs around an open fireplace and is equipped with television, CD player and DVD. Doors lead out to the attractive terrace, with table and chairs to seat ten people, surrounded with pot plants and herbs under plenty of shade.

The swimming pool is away from the house and measures 8 x 11 metres with steps down and has a fully automatic filtration system and is surrounded by lawn and has a large old oak tree for shade. The estate also has a tennis court which is available to guests on an ad hoc basis.
