The private estate of Finca de los Alamos is a stunning country property, set amidst acres of oak woods and rolling fields, conveniently located for the town of Ronda, enjoying breathtaking views of the mountains of the Sierra de los Nieves. The property has extensive grounds in which to walk in total peace and quiet – sandy tracks lead through tree lined valleys, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

There are two houses, La Casa Roja, and La Casa Amarilla, plus an additional two bedrooms, all of which are arranged around a lovely internal patio.

Huge oak doors open to reveal a beautiful, partly covered patio, with a central fountain, antique statues, climbing plants and various seating areas.

To the right of the patio is La Casa Amarilla – which is similar to La Casa Roja, but somewhat more spacious. There is a large, airy kitchen with granite floor tiles, black granite work surfaces, and with a wooden dining table and chairs. There is a microwave, gas hob and oven, a hotplate, double sinks, a large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Adjacent is a large laundry room, with washing machine and dryer.

The living area is large and cool, with high ceilings, an open fireplace, comfortable sofas, coffee tables, and with huge windows looking out to the gardens. There is a television with a DVD player, and doors lead out to a peaceful outdoor terrace, with sofa, table and chairs. Adjacent to the living area is a conservatory, furnished with comfortable wicker chairs and tables, with doors opening out to the gardens.

There is an elegant dining room, decorated with antique paintings, silver candelabra, and with an oak dining table and chairs. There is also a typical Spanish “hunting lodge bar’, complete with oak bar area, and stool seating.

Stairs lead up from the living area to a small, cosy library, with a card table, bookcases and a sofa – a lovely quiet place to sit and read. On from here is a double bedroom, with built-in wardrobes, armchair, and an ensuite shower room with a marble topped basin and loo.

Downstairs is a private suite with sitting room, leading to a lovely double bedroom, with table and chairs, dressing room and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and separate bath, lavatory, bidet and double basins.

A second staircase leads up to a bedroom with twin beds, with a sofa, armchairs, large walk-in dressing room and an ensuite bathroom, with bath, lavatory, bidet and basin.

There is a further bedroom, which would be ideal for children, as it has 5 single beds, a sofa, and extensive built-in wardrobes. There is a large walk-in shower, and also an ensuite washroom with lavatory, bidet and basin.

To the left of the patio is La Casa Roja. There is a spacious, well - equipped kitchen with gray marble floors and granite work surfaces, a microwave oven, gas hob, hot plate, double sinks, and a fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a table and chairs, seating 8. Adjacent is the cloakroom.

The large dining/living area has an oak dining table and chairs, seating up to 10, and two separate sitting areas, with four comfortable sofas with coffee tables. Large bay windows look out to the mountains beyond, and French doors open to the patio. Antique terracotta floor tiles throughout, with an interesting mix of antique Moroccan rugs and Spanish antiques give a totally unique feel. There is a television with DVD player, and an open fireplace.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, each with twin beds, prettily decorated with armchairs, built-in wardrobes, and ensuite shower rooms with large walk-in showers, wc, and marble-topped basins.

There is a further spacious double bedroom, with beamed ceilings, antique furniture, wardrobes and a large bathroom with bath and shower over, lavatory, bidet and basin.

All rooms are individually decorated with old paintings, ceiling fans and unique antique furniture.

At the far end of the patio are a further two double bedrooms, each with an armchair, built-in wardrobes and ensuite shower room with lavatory and basin.

To one side of the extensive gardens, there is a lovely vine-covered dining area, with a table and chairs, surrounded by palm and pink pepper trees.

The swimming pool, (8 x 4m), looks out across the breathtaking countryside, and is within easy reach of the house.

The lawned gardens surround the houses, and are planted with palms, shrubs, and climbing plants, with spectacular, uninterrupted views of the estate, and of the mountains.

A unique, elegant, peaceful property, filled with timeless antiques, an unusual mix of modern and old.

The gardener and housekeeper live in a separate cottage. She is available to prepare breakfast, and simple meals.
